Sweet William is a bold, velvety scarf knit in aran weight. Its bold lines and striking geometric design create a plush, dense scarf with broad appeal. Combining slip stitch detailing with a unique diagonal twisted stitch, Sweet William’s clean lines are sure to please. This scarf is attractive in semisolid, tonal, or even variegated yarns.
Knit in two skeins of Malabrigo Merino Worsted, Sweet William is 5.75″ x 85″ long. It can easily be shortened, knit in any yarn weight you choose for variable widths and drapes, and looks fantastic on men, women and teens.
This one, in one skein of Malabrigo in Verde Esperanza, came out at 42″, which is a great length for a cowl-like neck wrap. The pattern repeat may be knit as many times as written, or fewer for a shorter scarf, as desired.
